The first trailer of Vishal Bhardwaj’s Khufiya is out. The film starring Tabu, Ali Fazal and Wamiqa Gabbi is a spy thriller based on Escape to Nowhere, a book authored by Amar Bhushan, the former Chief of the Counter Espionage Unitic of R&AW.
The trailer sees Tabu play R&AW agent who is informed of a mole in the agency. We then see Ali Fazal’s suspicious Ravi Mohan who is their prime suspect. We also see Ravi’s family under the scanner. Even his wife, played by Wamiqa Gabbi, has doubts of him betraying his country.

Talking about Khufiya, Bhradwaj said, “I have always been very fascinated with the world of espionage and am truly excited to explore this genre with Khufiya. This film also gave me a chance to reunite with Tabu, and work for the very first time with two very talented actors- Ali Fazal and Wamiqa Gabbi.”
Tabu said, “I am so happy to be once again working with my favourite director Vishal Bhardwaj as we reunite for the third time after Haider and Maqbool. Vishal’s unique vision and storytelling have always intrigued me, and Khufiya is no exception.”
Khufiya which also features Ashish Vidyarthi, Azmeri Haque Badhon and others will release on OTT on October 5, 2023.
